A
couple weeks ago I got a real dirty Springfield Lamp off eBay.
The reason I got it was for the rare fine splined base and the
sharp edge reflector. I knew I had some work to do on it,
but it paid off. Here is a photo of it before it was cleaned
and another photo will follow this one showing the lamp after I
cleaned it. I used vinegar and warm soapy water with 0000
steel wool. In the vinegar, into the water, in the vinegar,
into the water, etc.......... This was to prevent it from
getting pink. Too nice of a lamp not to share with the group.
